10 THINGS YOU CANNOT MISS IN PARIS

In some ways it feels impossible to list only 10 things you cannot miss in Paris, well, because its Paris! When I think of Paris, so many different places and things to do come to my mind; amazing food, desserts that melt in your mouth, night walks along the Seine river, beautiful parks which of course consist of picnics, and breathtaking architecture. To top it off, Paris is so picturesque that you could spend the whole day chasing portraits. Every single street corner you can find delicious coffee and fresh baked croissants. In order to get you started on planning your trip to Paris, I decided to put together some of my favourite things to do, and places to eat, in order to help you out!

Climb to the top of Arc De Triomph - When it comes to seeing views of Paris, Arch De Triomph is one of my favourite places. From the top of the Arc de Triomph, you can see as far as the eye can see down Champs-Élyséen, different Parisian rooftop terraces, and best of all, the Eiffel Tower. Another bonus is that if your under 26, and from Europe, you can go up for free. Why wouldn't you use this perk?

Visit Louvre and Tuileries Garden - Another place that you must take advantage of, especially if your under 26, is the Louvre. Even though I'm not the biggest art admirer, or museum goer, I can strongly suggest for you to check it out, even if you have to queue in the line up, or pay. You can as well buy the tickets online, if you want to avoid the bigger lines. Tuilerien garden is a place that you can as well go and check out after the Louvre, as its right across from the museum and is not of the best kept garden in all of Paris!

3. Seikkaile Le Marais alueella - Kiistatta lempialueeni Pariisissa.

Get lost in Le Marais - This is undeniably one of my favourite arraignments of Paris. Le Marais can be found in the 3rd and 4th arraignments above the Seine river. You can easily spend a whole day here just taking photos of the cute little streets, and checking out the different boutique stores. And if you get tired, theres countless cafes and restaurants to rest your feet and eat some good food.

Visit the Eiffel Tower at Night - It doesn't matter what the weather is, the Eiffel Tower is always just as beautiful and breathtaking. My favourite time of day is to go and visit during sunset, and wait until the sun has set. Each night the Eiffel tower puts on a spectacular light show, and it never disappoints. A picnic underneath the Eiffel tower isn't half bad either! You can read more about it here

Fiksu tapa ohittaa ruuhkat.

Stroll around the city with a bike - Getting around Paris with metro is easy, but theres nothing better than cruising down the streets of Paris by bike. Instead of missing all the sights to see while your underground, you can travel from destination to destination while seeing whats along the trip. You can rent bikes for a few euros per day, and bike stations can be found all over the city. Many companies even have their own apps, where you can find the different stations. Riding bikes is one way to zip past the traffic.

6. Kurkista historiallinseen Shakespeare and Company kirjakauppaan - Shakespeare and Company on upeasti sisustettu melkein seitsemänkymmentä vuotta vanha kirjakauppa, jonka tunnelmaa ei voita mikään. Vaikka ei olisi aikeissa ostaa kirjaa, kauppa käy täydestä turistikohteesta. Kohde sijaitsee myös kätevästi Notre Damen katedraalin vieressä, joten se on helppo yhdistää reitin varrelle.

Visit Shakespeare and Company - Shakespeare and Company is a book shop that is over 70 years old. With its age, it has a certain feeling to it that you just can't experience elsewhere. Even though you don't even have any intentions to buy books, just go and explore it as a tourist. The book store can be found right near the Notre Dame cathedral, so its easy to combine the two.

Get lost at Montmarte - Montmarte is another area that is full of old historic Parisian streets, full of cute stores and coffee shops. Artists draw caricatures of tourists walking by, and the views of the city are in a league of its own. Make sure you branch off the normal tourist destinations, and go and explore the streets of Montmarte.

Notre Dame De Paris - The Notre Dame cathedral is worth the wait. Even though you have to line up to get in, what awaits you is amazing. This is one of the most beautiful churches ever. To get in it doesn't cost anything, and the line ups go surprisingly fast even though it can look deceivingly long. In order to go to the top of the Notre Dame, it costs around 10 euros, but once again, if your under 26, you get in for free. Make sure you bring along some sort of identification in order to prove your age.

Palace of Versailles - The Palace of Versailles is most beautiful in late Spring and summer. My favourite is definitely the palace gardens, but make sure you go and check out the castle as well, as its definitely worth it. Its important that you remember to wear good shoes, as the palace is huge, and you'll be doing alot of walking.

Picnic on the Seine - In the Spring, and especially during Summer nights, the seine river gets flooded with people. Its no surprise, as theres nothing more relaxing and enjoyable than just to sit the evening enjoying the views. Make sure you bring some goods from the local bakery, and enjoy a picnic during the sunset. As you can see, the weather stopped us this time, but I'll make sure to take advantage of the seine river in July!

PERFECT PICNIC SPOT

When it came to planning our Paris trip, I had so many plans come to my mind. But I think its obvious, that a picnic under the Eiffel Tower was obviously one of the best. Who wouldn't enjoy a relaxing afternoon, eating France's different treats, under the Eiffel tower? Not only was the location perfect, but what made it even better was all the amazing baked goods, and french delicacies from the local shops.

If you ever travel to Paris, planning a picnic doesn't require much planning in advance as every corner in the neighbourhood you'll find an amazing bakery full of the best treats to buy. On the Rue Cler street, you'll also find a market, where you can get fresh fruit, and fresh juices. If you plan on going to the market, make sure you head there early in the morning as they tend to close already by 2pm.

Oletteko te käyneet ikinä picnicillä Eiffelillä tai jossain muualla Pariisin puistoissa?

Have you guys ever gone for a picnic under the Eiffel tower or in Paris's beautiful parks?

Ihanaa viikkoa kaikille! xx

Have a great week everyone! xx
